Is This Roadside BBQ Stop The Best In The State and what's a reverse tap???

While heading back from South Lake Tahoe, I remembered that a friend told me that Copper Top BBQ was voted best in the State Of California, several times. It's 40 feet off of the 395 Highway so we had to to stop to find out. After eating the ribs, tri-tip, pulled pork, butter chicken and the three sides (mac and cheese, potato salad and house made beans),...it's certainly one of the best I've had! The owners are nice guys who were happy to show us around and we learned what a reverse tap is while trying their beer. If you're traveling to South Lake Tahoe or Mammoth or you're on the 395 in Lone Pine for any reason and you're passing Copper Top BBQ...don't! Pull over and grab some lunch or dinner.
