Slovak PM Fico in 'life-threatening condition' after being shot

Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following an assassination attempt. According to local media, he was shot in the abdomen after he left a government meeting in the town of Handlova. A lone gunman was detained at the scene.
