Whalefeathers - Whalefeathers (1971) (USA, Heavy Prog, Hard Blues Rock)

Whalefeathers (feathered whale) - group of Cincinnati (Cincinnati, State of Ohio). It was founded in 1969 by guitarist / vocalist Michael Jones (Michael Jones) and keyboardist Ed Blekmonom (Ed Blackmon). Where guitarist and keyboard player - so there or progressive, psychedelic keyboard or ... The second (last) album of the band was marked by a change of bass player and a musical orientation. It seems like sometimes it happened, "Whalefeathers" was a little ahead of their time, that's why their album went unnoticed. And whether the musicians themselves decided whether their producer Stanley Hertzman demanded to reorient himself to available material. Therefore, the second disc with the same name lost a lot in terms of the continuation of progressive innovations and, as a result, the loss of instrumental and vocal saturation of the images. The sound became much more rigid and acquired classical forms of heavy blues-hard rock.
