Why Anthropology Matters Now: Interview with Dr. Agustín Fuentes, World Anthropology Day 2020

In 2020 Miami University's Department of Anthropology invited Dr. Agustín Fuentes (University of Notre Dame) to give the World Anthropology Day Presentation. Before that, our students interviewed and met with Dr. Fuentes on the importance of Anthropology, it's promise as a career, and how it fits into our times. Much of this discussion also featured around his book Race, Monogamy, and Other Lies They Told You: Busting Myths about Human Nature. This book has clear application to the world we currently live in and how science and critical examination of facts is important in every part of our lives.
