SGU's David Blue Wanted Eli To Lose Weight (Dial the Gate)

Even though STARGATE UNIVERSE was cancelled after just two of its planned five seasons, the character of Eli Wallace had a nice story arc. In this conversation with "Dial the Gate," actor DAVID BLUE answers fans' questions about Eli and how he grew as a person – and also lost weight.

David talks about being an overweight actor when he was cast, and Eli then losing weight after becoming trapped on the Destiny. He also talks about auditioning for roles, working with Robert Carlyle ("Dr. Nicholas Rush"), and having the SGU cast represented at fan conventions.
