Derek Hough's Family: 4 Sisters And Parents

Derek Hough is one of the greatest American dancers who is known not only in the US but all over the world due to his exceptional gift to dancing. Parents noticed this talent when he was a little kid and sent him to a dance school, where he was mastering skills and finally became a professional Ballroom and Latin performer. He took part in several seasons of a popular TV show Dancing with the Stars, where he and his partners won the whole six times. After that he was invited to be a judge at the World of Dance as well as act in movies and various contests worldwide.

His father, Bruce is now a well-known businessman and politician. He met Marriann when both were studying in a college and were dancing in one team. It all started as friendship yet it didn’t take long time for them to tie the knot and start a family. During the marriage they became parents to five kids, yet still decided to walk separate ways and divorced. Bruce was and still is a responsible parent who is very much present in kids’ lives. He remarried a woman named Debra Francom.

The famous dancer’s mother, Marriann is the most caring, loving and devoted mom any child can have. She did everything possible and impossible to raise all five kids, give education as well as introduce in the world of art and dancing in particular. She is very proud of all children and is super close with all of them.

The family also included a paternal grandpa, Robert who was very creative and worked as a disc jockey on a radio.

There was also a paternal grandmother, Colleen, who was nicely called Cokie.

From the mother’s side, there was Beth and Don Heaton.

Derek is a brother to 4 sisters.

Sharee was born in 1977 and is the first child born to Marriann and Bruce. It should be also said that all 4 sisters and a brother have been very close since childhood and up till present moment, even though they are all grown-ups now. Sharee works as a fitness and yoga instructor as well as raises six kids.

Marabeth is another elder sister to the Dance with the Stars winner. She is married and has a son. We don’t know what she is doing now for a living but she used to work as a stunt.

Katherine is one more elder sister to a sexy Latin dancer. She is married and has 3 children. She tried herself as an actress but it didn’t work much. Now she is an owner of a spa in Utah.

Finally, the fourth sister is Julianne, who is also an extraordinary dancer. Together with the brother, she was studying in a London dance school. Both are successful individually as well as in a couple. Apart from being a great dancer, she also has a blog, where she shares her lifestyle with fans. She fought such a disease as endometriosis and is now happily married to Brooks Laich.
