Ali Campbell (Date of Birth: February 15, 1959)
To start us off with the list, we have Ali Campbell who formed UB40 in mid-1978 together with the rhythm section drummer James Brown and bassist Earl Falconer when he was only 19 years old. Later on Campbell left the band in 2008 due to a dispute with the band management and decided to embark on a solo career.

Next on the list we have Yomi Babayemi who was the band’s first percussionist and stayed with them for only one year because his father who’d finished his PHD at Birmingham University wanted his son to go back to Nigeria with him.
