FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) Procedure 411

Follicular Unit Extraction, AKA FUE, is a hair restoration procedure where units of one to four hairs are moved from a region with good hair quality to an area on the scalp lacking hair. A small sharp or dull punch instrument is used to make a tiny incision to remove the hair graft. A technician uses forceps to grip the hair above the skin to extract it. This leaves a tiny scar that is not very noticeable.
