Did we achieve our homesteading goals in 2019?

Today we are looking back at all the achievements we have on the homestead in 2019. We worked on a lot projects and have continued to build our dream property. We accomplished the goals we set for this year and did so much more. We got bigger livestock, goats and pigs. We planted a 3 acre hay field. We established a whole new garden area next to our log home. But there is still lots to do in 2020.

We live in southeastern Illinois on a 41 acres homestead. We just finished building our log cabin overlooking our pond. We are trying to grow our own food and raise livestock. Follow us on our journey living the rural life and developing our property and becoming more self sufficient.
