Your AI Coworker is Ready | Copilot Agent Mode

Edit with Copilot in Word is the default you probably missed. In this walkthrough I let Copilot edit a live client document against our brand voice guide, rewriting every section that was breaking the rules.

Agent Mode (now branded Edit with Copilot inside the app) became the default Copilot experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint last month. Most teams are still using the chat panel. The actual change is in the document itself.

Halfway through, Copilot stopped to ask whether the rewrites should stay in an internal tone or shift to external. I told it external. The rewrites adjusted. That single back and forth is the whole shift from search bar to thought partner.
