Erie-LTV Mining RR 1989 PT 1

In 1989 I made my first trip to Taconite Harbor to document the Erie-LTV Mining railroad. Over the following decade I would make frequent trips to this remote area of NE Minnesota to capture one of the most unique railroads in the country. Where else on earth in the year 2000 could you see vintage lash-ups of covered wagons hauling iron ore. In part 1 you will also be treated to a view of the Charles M. Beeghly ore boat at Taconite Harbor.
