Mk6 Ford Transit Glow Plug issue, and fix.

I was not getting any power to my glow plugs, and so the van didn't want to start in the cold weather. I checked for voltage at the relay and all seemed fine, but it wasn't. The permanent live on the glow plug relay was showing 12 volts, but when I connected a test lamp, the lamp didn't light.
More investigating showed a blow fuseable wire. This was not visible by eye, as the break in the wire is inside the sheathing. It is also not shown on the wiring diagram.
I have joined the ends of the wire with a block, and now my test light works on the relay.
Turned on the ignition and checked for power at the glow plugs, and then started the van.
Everything now works and the van starts in the cold weather. I will replace the connector block with an inline 80amp fuse, or another fuseable wire.

As a side note. Ford want £300 to replace this little wire.

I hope this video helps.
