Lovine Aiulu Saili Killed in 18-Wheeler Accident on I-215 Near Redwood Road

Taylorsville, UT — July 20, 2026:
Authorities said 28-year-old Lovine Aiulu Saili was killed in an 18-wheeler accident at approximately 12:15 p.m. on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 215 near Redwood Road in Taylorsville. According to preliminary reports, Saili was driving a Hyundai Elantra when the vehicle's hood reportedly came unlatched and obstructed the windshield. Officials said the vehicle was then stopped between two lanes of travel, where it was later reportedly struck from behind by an 18-wheeler. Saili sustained fatal injuries. Authorities did not report any other injuries. Additional information has not yet been released. The incident remains under investigation.
