How do you build trust? 🤔

🔸 You are a problem solver. You work to improve every situation that comes to you.
🔸 You do what you say when you say it will be done. Deliver what you promised
🔸 Mistakes will be made - Own them and take the time to explain what happened and how you plan to recover.
🔸 Be the one to tell them what is happening. This doesn’t slow down the process, and is important in communication.
🔸 Build the plan, communicate it, then execute it over and over.

How do you handle a crisis? 🤔

🔸 Again, develop your plan. Don’t just react.
🔸 Do not wear feelings on your sleeve, don’t let anyone see you sweat.
🔸 Show confidence you will get it done.
🔸 Be available. Someone is calling because they have a need, help them.
🔸 Trust must be built. This is why working so hard on trust will pay off, people will want direction and a sense of security. If they trust you they will be more apt to listen and follow the direction given.
🔸 Send out updates - keep people informed.
🔸 After a crisis is over, speak to what you and your team could do better, and where other departments and operations can be better so you never waste an opportunity to coach.
