Save the Children’s team in Gaza ‘may not survive’ Israel’s incoming ground assault
Save the Children International Global Humanitarian Director Gabriella Waaijman says her team in Gaza have told her they “may not survive” Israel’s impending ground assault.
On October 7 Israel declared war on Hamas after the Palestinian terrorist group launched thousands of rockets as far north as Tel Aviv.
“The last contact we had with our team last night, our colleagues were saying they we’re struggling to get in touch with our friends, with our family, with each other,” she told Sky News Australia.
“That’s the last we heard of them.
“Our colleagues said 'we might not survive this, please pray for us', that was really, really hard.”
