Milk cows tied to a cart!
- The cows pulled the cart straight to the camp of Israel! – MIRACLE!

2 Sam 6:2-3, 6-9

QUESTIONS:
• Why did God kill a man for only trying to help?
• Why did the oxen of Israel stumble when the milk cows of the Philistines did not?
• Why did God allow the Philistines to send back the ark in an unusual way...
• But not the Jews!

What is the Ark of God?
-The Ark of God:
The presence of God in our ministry!
The Work of God

1. The Ark is Heavy
- Plated with Gold
Mercy Seat – Solid Gold
2 Cherubim – 2 Angels of Gold
- The Work of God is also Heavy
“Burden” from the Lord

2. The Ark is Valuable
- Precious Metals
Artisanship, creativity
- The Work of God also requires:
Great Effort (gives value)

3. The Ark must not “Roll”
- Carried on shoulders!
Israel not allowed to copy Philistines!
- The Work of God require personal sacrifice!
Don’t expect “others” to carry it...

4. The Ark must move “God’s Way!”
- God tolerates the world’s ignorance
Cows and Cart -- (Philistines)
- The Work of God is not successful with carnal methods

5. The Ark cannot be carried ALONE!
- Too heavy for one man!
Eph 4 — 5 fold ministry
- The Work of God requires a team

6. The Ark’s power is not:
- Beauty
- Artisanship
- Gold
But it is the Presence of the Almighty God!

7. The Ark cannot be touched carelessly...
- Uzzah was killed by its power!
Acts 12 — Herod’s speech
- God will not share His Glory with any man!

8. The progress of carrying the Ark is SLOW!
- Sacrifices offered every 6 steps!
- Ministry develops “step by step”

9. The Result of Sacrifice to God:
-Great JOY!
