Q-Tip is one of the elite rapper/producers and though I was more a Wu-Tang/Mobb Deep or even Gangstarr guy over a Tribe/Native Tongues one I always respected what he did. In 2008, a few newer artists like Kanye and Lupe held my attention, but it was still held mostly by the vets. I had already begun making beats and branching out and my favorite album of that year was The Renaissance which kinda came out of nowhere to me. Maybe thats why I liked it so much I had zero expectations.

Anyway, ​⁠ and I started making beats around this time together after years of kinda peeping where each other was going with it. Don was a super master EARLY like 2003ish high school era but ran with another crew. i seen him beat Kanye West to all his most famous samples like 8-12 months ahead of him; like 5x in a row like 2004-2007 which made me realize that he was SPECIAL.

Anyway albums like this and Beat Konducta vol 1, and the like were albums we listened to and this is one of my all time favorites. We made beats for 15 years and it was a good time.. thankyou to q-tip for the dope album at a strange time in the game and my boy for making inspiring beats and inspiring me at the same time.
