Obtaining an MC Authority is hard work! When you are new, brokers keep saying 90 days, 30 days, 120 days, or even 1 year before you can work for them! Plus, insurance starts draining you that first month, $5K first month, waiting for MC authority, and auto transport brokers with these longer MC authority waiting periods.

His recommendation: tell anybody new to look for someone established MC authority and run under them.
