In this video, I will show you how to build a 50Hz current transformer detection circuit using TL084 and LM393.

This circuit can detect very small current signals from a current transformer, amplify them, filter noise, and convert them into a clean digital output signal.

⚡ Key Features:

Detect small load currents (even with a 60W lamp)
Adjustable gain and detection threshold
Stable and reliable digital output
Safe isolation using a current transformer

🔧 Main Components:

TL084 (Op-Amp for signal amplification)
LM393 (Comparator for signal detection)
50Hz Current Transformer (EI core)
Standard resistors, capacitors, and potentiometers

🛠 Applications:

Load detection systems
Automatic power control
Fault detection circuits
Smart energy monitoring

⚠️ Safety Note:

Although the output of the current transformer is isolated and low voltage, always be careful when working with AC mains.
