PSIA Inaugural Lesson - A conversation with Mia Mottley
The Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) is honoured to have the inaugural lesson for the Class of 2024 delivered by Mia Amor Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados.
The Honourable Mia Mottley is the 8th Prime Minister of Barbados. She became the first woman to occupy the high office, following General Elections on 24 May 2018. An Attorney-at-Law and Queen’s Counsel, Prime Minister Mottley has been active in the political life of Barbados for almost three decades. Prime Minister Mottley has also shown great leadership in the fight against climate change.
The Inaugural Lesson is a long-standing tradition, whereby each new PSIA class is addressed by, and then has the chance to engage with, an important public figure.
Mathias Vicherat, President of Sciences Po, is introducing the inaugural lesson. Prime Minister Mottley will give opening remarks and will engage directly with students. Arancha González, Dean of PSIA, is chairing the discussion.
