Participants in 500-km walk from Sudbury for Indigenous rights remain on Hill

A near month-long trek has seen First Nations people from across Canada descend upon Ottawa to seek justice and change to the Indian Act. The Blinding Light Walk - Tiger Lily movement started in Sudbury, Ont.
By Friday, many of the Blinding Light Walk participants had left Parliament Hill to return to their homes, while others said they would stay at least until Sunday’s meeting with Marc Miller, Minister of Indigenous Services. Still others indicated they would stay until Chief Janvier told them it was time to leave.
