Kemp's ridley hatchlings released at Rancho Nuevo
Thousands of the endangered Kemp’s Ridley sea turtles laid their eggs in the last few weeks. Biologists are trying to up their numbers by preserving the eggs until they hatch.
The hatchlings have to avoid coyotes and birds on the beach, and then hungry fish in the sea.
There are lots of dedicated conservationists working for Gladys Porter Zoo and CDEN - Sociedad Civil to bring the endangered Kemp's ridley sea turtle population back.
