How to choose the right helping verb in Italian? Compound tenses like the passato prossimo, the most common past tense, can be formed using the helping verb AVERE (to have), like in English, or ESSERE (to be). Choosing the correct one is not always easy, but in this video I explain all the basic rules through dialogues and example sentences.
