DEPUTIES MAKE DRUG BUST ON "ONE STOP SHOP" DRUG DEALER DURING TRAFFIC STOP
On Sunday, November 4, 2018, MCSO Deputy James Manning conducted a traffic stop on a truck hauling a car on a trailer that had faulty equipment. Deputy Manning made contact with the driver, defendant Carl Harris (DOB: 07/20/1990) and the passenger, co-defendant Angela McCole (DOB:06/21/1989). At that time, Deputy Brandon Jenkins arrived on scene to assist Deputy Manning. Both deputies smelled the odor of Marijuana coming from the vehicle and they asked the driver and passenger to exit the truck so they could conduct a search. During their search, deputies soon discovered that Harris is a "one stop shop" drug dealer. The following drugs were discovered in his vehicle, some in trafficking amounts: Fentanyl, Hydrocodone, Methamphetamines (ICE), Marijuana, Cocaine, MDMA (Ecstasy), Cocaine, Oxycodone, Clonazepam, Buprenorphine-Hydrochloride, Adderall and Gabapentin.
Harris had a loaded Kel-Tec 9mm handgun and a loaded Hi-Point 9mm Carbine Rifle in his truck within his reach. Two extended 9mm magazines were found in the glovebox. Brass knuckles, a hunting knife, numerous drug paraphernalia and $4,500 cash were also discovered in his possession. Additionally, co-defendant McCole had a glass pipe and a glass bong containing Methamphetamine residue in her possession. UDEST drug agents responded to the scene and are continuing their investigation. Here are their charges:
