Smith says "chill-vibes only."
Smith is the dog version of a chill-pill and we have decided his unofficial motto is- Slow and Steady. If you like your dogs calm and quietly confident, then Smith is going to win your heart in no time flat. Actually, the only time it will take is the length of this video, take a look and then come back to read more.
On first glance it would be easy to see a shy boy in Smith but I assure you, he has a peaceful presence and a mellow demeanor that is hard to come by. He may not be the one to make the first move, he is definitely more of the observant and present type, but you will no doubt feel the warmth in his company. Estimated to be 2 years old and possibly a pittie/boxer mix, he weighs 56 lbs and is fully grown. Of course, he is a rescue so we cannot guarantee his breed or age.
Smith has great basic leash skills, keeping a casual, easy pace and showing little to no interest in passing dogs. He is a bit of a dream walking partner if you enjoy the experience of waking and soaking it the sights and sounds, he is never going to rush you along. He will sit at your feet and wait patiently until you’re ready to keep moving.
A dream home for Smith would be one where the vibes are all-around chill. He could easily be an only dog but will make a great doggie companion for a calm, mature female who will enjoy his company without pushing for him to play because so far we haven’t seen a bouncy playful side. A feline-free home is best for Smith, when he met our house cat he was a bit too intrigued and would likely be overly eager living with a cat. Older kids would be best for Smith only because little kids are often the opposite of the chill-vibes he is trying to cultivate. He is no doubt going to bond deeply with his people and create such a meaningful connection. Thanks to his quiet nature and low-key energy, apartment life or a house with a yard would suit him perfectly.
