The saga erupted on July 2, 2025, when Playground AI founder Suhail Doshi posted on X: “PSA: there’s a guy named Soham Parekh (in India) who works at 3‑4 startups at the same time. He’s been preying on YC companies” .

In a July 3 interview on the TBPN podcast, Parekh owned up to working 140‑hour weeks, describing himself as a “serial non‑sleeper.” He said his motivations were not greed but financial desperation, and he insisted he did not outsource work or use junior staff or AI—he handled everything solo .
