Cushion Packaging for Industrial Equipment

This video demonstrates a packaging process using expanding foam to secure a large, delicate industrial blower or motor unit within a cardboard box. Two workers first place a metal-cased fan unit and a motor into a plastic-lined box. They then use a long-nozzled dispensing gun to spray a quick-expanding chemical foam into the voids around the equipment. This 'foam-in-place' method creates a custom-molded cushion, encapsulating the item snugly inside the plastic liner to protect it from shock and movement during shipping. The foam expands rapidly, quickly filling all the empty spaces and solidifying the contents for transport.
