Magnificent Greater Melbourne Cycling Paths: East Link Trail from Ringwood to Carrum

This is the continuation of East Link Trail Documentation I did earlier in 2016 (see: https://youtu.be/kwEBKxSVNyE ) and covers the south eastern segment of this extend trail. Starting in Ringwood & crossing the Maroondah Highway, the trail partly follows the M3 Freeway but also diverts into the the wetlands along the Dandenong Creek. There are numerous over- and underpasses, shorter climbs and descents. For the last 12km the track turns into a gravel path with Carrum Beach marking the end of the trail. It does not seem to be a popular / busy trail and although the extended stretches along the freeway can be a little dull, the diversions into the wetlands make the trail worth a visit. Note: the last stretch south of Dandenong can be a bit smelly as the trail passes the sewer fields, especially if easterly/southeasterly winds are prevailing.
