June 26: The New Helium Recovery Center Was Inaugurated at the #Bruker Ettlingen Campus in Germany!

On June 26, the new Helium Recovery Center was officially inaugurated at the Bruker Ettlingen Campus in Germany in the presence of representatives from the city, research, science, and industry partners, demonstrating Bruker's deep commitment to sustainability.
Helium is needed to cool superconducting magnets used in laboratories worldwide and is a valuable, non-renewable resource. To minimize its consumption, Bruker has developed the HelioSmart technology. The HelioSmart Liquefaction solution captures the evaporating helium used to cool the magnets, compresses it into high-pressure cylinders, cleans it, and makes it accessible for liquefaction, allowing for a full recycling loop.
"Our HelioSmart system enables a helium recovery rate of 95% or more, making a significant contribution to making laboratory operations for customers worldwide in the service of life science, clinical, and pharmaceutical research more resource-efficient and sustainable," says Dr. Thorsten Thiel, President of the Services & Life Cycle Division at Bruker.
