When people who start their own business get into the marketing aspect of it, they become obsessed with finding the right logo, having a great website, and making sure every little minute detail of their image (aka branding) is perfect.

**This is NOT marketing.**

To improve your funnels and landing pages, do the following:

1. Ad Copy is the most important part of your ad! It's your one shot to sell your reader if they stop your scroll. An easy tip is to make sure your first line calls out your audience (i.e. "Calling All Stay At Home Moms!"). This narrows down your readers to your target market quickly.
2. There are no shortcuts to funnels and ads! You have to be willing to learn from square one, into the bigger skills, and gradually into the high-level, highly detailed methods of funnels, ads, and strategies. Pro Tip: invest in learning from people smarter than you, because they can collapse time and teach you the way to get to success quicker than you can teach yourself through trials and error! 3. I stand by the statement "A great offer is a thousand times better than a good-looking funnel." THE MAGIC IS IN THE WORDING! Fancy funnels are nice, but the offer is nicer. When you finally realize this, you’ll start gaining traction. The literal words your readers are reading or hearing in your funnel and ads are quite literally the make or break point. Enticement to click only comes through the convincing of your words.

So what is marketing? Marketing is **COMMUNICATION**. Everything that has to do with converting someone from one place to another has to do with how you communicate what you’re offering.
