Susato – La Mourisque / Mohrentanz
Tielman Susato lived in the 16th Century – his date of birth is unknown, but probably between 1510 and 1515 and he died some time after 1570.

This piece, which is a "basse danse" was published in his collection "Danserye" in 1551. Originally composed for a four-part ensemble of, say, viols or recorders, it works well as a keyboard piece, here given the organo pleno treatment!
