Tyler's Pocono Plow Day 5/23/20 - Plowing Rocky Pennsylvania Clay!
Special thanks to Tyler Yablonski for organizing the plow day (and letting me run his 318), to Frank and Mryna for hosting us, and to Bob the farmer for letting us tear up his ground! Also thanks to my girlfriend Kyleigh for following us around and shooting most of the footage. Go check out Tyler's and Louis' channels and be sure to give them a sub!

I know we are all bummed that PA Plow Day was cancelled this year due to the pandemic. I think we all had it coming. Not to worry, though! My buddy Tyler Yablonski organized a small plow day up in the Pocono Mountains in northeastern Pennsylvania, and asked a couple friends to attend (don't worry, it was less than 10 people). He arranged with a local farmer to plow three small food plots in a couple of his fields. Can't refuse a chance to get our tractors dirty! I brought the 210 up with my newly-acquired 1966 Brinly plow and a spare Brinly plow, and also brought the 318 along for my girlfriend to drive (when she wasn't plowing). Tyler brought along his '88 318 and his newly acquired '84 210, and another friend Jaimin brought along his '75 210 with custom winch-controlled sleeve hitch. It was pretty neat to see several 210's plowing together, and to see Tyler's fully-loaded 318 (which has been shown in past PAPD videos).
Despite several downpours throughout the day, the heavy red clay dried out pretty quickly and made for good plowing conditions. Don't mind our plow setups...compared to the soil in Watsontown, the sod here was heavy and tough to turn over, and the clay was full of massive rocks, which proved to be a challenge for our small tractors. We still had a lot of fun, regardless. Unfortunately the day ended with a handful of breakdowns, including a busted hydraulic hose on my 210. But it plowed great up until that happened. I did the rest of the plowing with Tyler's 318 and Jaimin's 210. This was a good "test-and-tune" day, and a learning experience for all of us. For some of the younger guys there, it was their first time plowing. My girlfriend also got to practice her video skills as she followed us through the fields, and tried out several different camera angles (compared to what you usually see in the PA Plow Day videos). Needless to say, I have some great ideas for how to shoot next year's PA Plow Day footage.
