Here's a video my cousin Dan Arroyo made from a trip we did early summer of 2021. We were slow jigging for the grouper, amber jack and rainbow runners, casting poppers and stickbaits for tuna. The fishing was slow and the heat was almost unbearable. Summers in the UAE are no joke for us anglers, but we make do with what we can do and what fish we can target. There are areas with Amber Jacks and around where they are there are also plenty of grouper and other bottom fish. The rainbow runners are farther off, but when the fishing slows down, we make a run for them near some boats parked offshore. while going to and from the boats, there is always a chance to cast out for tuna - so we always have casting rods on the ready. there's a lot to do fishing off Fujairah in the UAE - we cast poppers and stickbaits to yellowfin and long tail tuna, we slow and fast jig, and troll for marlin, but mainly do a lot of jigging and casting.
