Filipinos and Mexicans sailed to and from Mexico and the Philippines as part of the Manila-Acapulco Galleon trade. Their descendants are found in communities particularly in the state of Guerrero, and Colima. Juan Nepomuceno Machado a merchant from the Philippines settled the coast of Sinaloa in 1829.
