2011 ≠ 1848 reflects upon two years when upheavals erupted simultaneously in different geographic spots throughout continental Europe in 1848, and globally in 2011. In the latter year, Grime and Mahraganat music could be regarded as the soundtrack for the revolts and protests then underway in England and Egypt. IDSN is a fictionalized account of two musical collectives, one in London featuring rappers, TrueMendous and Lady Sanity, and the other in Cairo with rappers Raptor and Joker, who are making music collaboratively using ISDN technology, communicating across phone lines from their respective makeshift studios.
