Jennifer Lopez’s mother, Guadalupe “Lupe” Rodríguez, once publicly dismissed the idea of her daughter getting back together with Sean “Diddy” Combs, whom the pop star dated from 1999 to 2001.

A video of the condemnation has resurfaced in light of the Combs’ recent arrest for racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution — to which he pleaded not guilty.

During a 2015 appearance on “The Wendy Williams Show,” the program’s titular host asked Lopez, her guest, “I was telling you that I could always see you getting back with Puffy in a little way.” (Combs was known as Puff Daddy, Puffy and P. Diddy before he settled on Diddy.)
