Driver Extricated After Crashing Into Tree

Phoenix Fire responded to a motor vehicle accident with reports of entrapment on Baseline Road near South 36th Way Saturday morning around 1 AM.
Firefighters arrived and located a silver Chrysler Neon that had collided with a tree.
The vehicle was heavily damaged and the driver was trapped in the vehicle and unable to exit the car.
Firefighters began extricating the driver from the car.
Crews had to remove the driver side door to gain access to the driver.
The driver was stabilized before being removed from the vehicle and was transported the male driver to a local area hospital with unknown injuries.
Phoenix Police are investigating the crash to determine the cause.
