my everyday messy curls *tips for long lasting curls on straight and thick hair*

♡ WHY IS MY HAIR SO DAMAGED AND DRY???
There was an embarrassing time where I decided to be really spontaneous and bleach my whole head this disgusting blonde for an ENTIRE YEAR!! I would beach my ENTIRE head every 2-3 weeks (omg typing this out makes me cringe so hard) and dye it. During this time, I also curled it ALL THE TIME!!! Thus, killing my hair to a point where so much of it broke off.

♡ WHY IS MY HAIR A GROSS COLOR?
when I decided to transition back to black hair, I just dumped a dark brown dye onto my blonde hair and since then, it has been almost a year. It has then faded from all the sun exposure, stripped of its colour from all the washes, and dried out from my continuous hair curling. This produced a very ugly brown colour in the middle of my hair. I want to re-dye it but I am too scared it will damage my hair even more that my hair will just fall off, any thoughts?
