The death of Simon Preston in May 2022 represented “a diminishing of the musical world in ways which resonate far beyond the confines of one sequestered corner of the profession”.

With these words Choir & Organ paid tribute to one of the most admired musicians of his time. His abilities as a performer and a conductor and his quick wit and charming demeanour endeared him to countless numbers who sorely feel his loss. Decca proudly pay tribute to him with a limited edition 19-CD collection of his complete Argo and L’Oiseau-Lyre recordings with the Choir of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford
