Five Things I HATE About My Suzuki DRZ400

The Suzuki DRZ400 is one of the most popular and best-selling dual sport motorcycles of all time, and for good reason. It's an insanely capable, durable, and fun bike to ride, but it's not perfect. There are quite a few little annoyances that DRZ owners grow to hate about the bike, and in this vid we'll cover 5 (actually 6 because there's a bonus DR-Z annoyance added in, just for you) things I hate about my Suzuki DRZ400S.

The first con of the DRZ is an obvious one the second you sit on it: the stock seat is uncomfortable and not so awesome. I highly recommend upgrading your DRZ400s, DRZ400SM, or DRZ400E immediately with a Seat Concepts seat (https://bit.ly/3jOiOkm), which is what I have and I love it. Beyond that, the maintenance on the Suzuki DRZ can be a little funky because of the two drain plugs and two rubber o-rings that need to be removed and reinstalled every time you do an oil change. The oil storage on the DRZ is in the frame tube, and the dipstick is very high up on the neck of the frame, which is weird. Unlike other dual sport motorcycles, the DRZ 400 doesn't have a sight glass, so it's difficult to check your oil quickly and easily. No sixth gear on the DRZ is also an obvious disadvantage, particularly if you're spending any time riding this dual sport motorcycle on the highway.
