Removing water level probe 495-517-000 from espresso boiler tank. This tank uses a water level control circuit to monitor the water level during operation. The probe (a simple stainless steel wire) just needs to be clean and free of calcium (lime) deposits and Teflon (the white plastic) intact, not cracked. Adjustment of water level can be done by bending the wire downward at a sharper angle, 90 degrees maximum for lower water levels. Though bending or lowering water level below this may expose the heater elements and cause a busted element. Twisting the probe clockwise (away from boiler side wall) will increase water level but only to the maximum at the base of probe. Increasing water level allows for more hot water delivery in areas with high demand for tea water. Lowering water increases the head boiler for more steaming of Latte drinks and milk frothing, if in either case the volume of water or steam is not enough to satisfy your requirement then you may need a larger machine for your needs. Otherwise check your heater for damage. Check frothing tip for clogs. Steam valve for gasket failure causing constant slow leaks and loss of maximum pressure.
