Spiking 15kV MV cable

The cable is being decommissioned. First its switched out , tested for absence of voltage, grounded on the other end and, then spike is driven/ shoot through the cable. This is done remotely via the rope , just in case.
After that, the cable can be touched with bare hands as its considered 100% safe and can be cut out with normal tools.
New cable in its place will have a provision for "Fister ball" / grounding provision and "spiking" will not be necessary for years to come...

Its all about safety.
