Shakespeare’s First Folio
A new exhibit at Yale’s Hanke Exhibition Gallery celebrates the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s First Folio, the first printed collection of Shakespeare’s plays. Curator Eve Houghton, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of English, explains why we care about the First Folio, and her interest in exploring changing perceptions of its value and growth in its prestige over time.
