With Eddie Van Halen passing away earlier in 2020, we stumbled on a complete interview with Sammy Hagar from 1994 as a member of Van Halen. He had just released Unboxed, a collection of his favorite Sammy Hagar solo songs, and he talked about that, the progress on what would become Van Halen's next studio album, Balance, the relationship between him and the band and then former singer David Lee Roth. He also discusses the death of their longtime manager, almost losing Cabo Wabo, and the musical genius that is Eddie Van Halen.
