https://instagram.com/cloudwolfaws In this video, we give an introduction to AWS Simple Storage Service (S3). It's one of the oldest services by AWS. It provides object storage through a web interface and allows users to store and retrieve any amount of data, at any time, from anywhere on the web.

SUMMARY:
-Provides high durability and availability, with the ability to store
data across multiple facilities and devices
-Offers a range of security options, including encryption and
access control, to help protect data stored in the service
-Provides features such as versioning, life cycle policies, and cross-
region replication, to help manage and protect data over time
-Buckets must have globally unique names
-Each object can be 0KB–5TB in size
-S3 is a global service, but buckets are region-based (need to
select a region for each bucket)
-S3 is not a file system
-Objects are identified through keys
-Object keys may contain prefixes that look like folders
-Use cases include: images, audio, video, big data, archives, static websites, backups, logs, and more
-Used by companies like Netflix, Pinterest, Nasa, Coca Cola and more
