DIGBY COOKE 1969 Warwick Farm - Mini Cooper 'S'

http://www.youtube.com/Super100MPH
DIGBY COOKE started motor racing in 1949 with a win and proved he still had what it took twenty years later in a Series Production Touring Car race at Warwick Farm. Driving his #51 Morris Mini Cooper 'S' in the pouring rain to perfection, Digby blitzed a field of bigger cars, including Holden Monaros and Fold Falcon GTs as well as other smaller cars (including an Alfa Romeo, driven by John French from the back of the grid) to take a convincing victory.

Nick Petrelli in a Monaro came second, John Harris third in a Falcon GT and Fred Gibson came in fourth also in a Falcon GT.
