Each month The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation hosts a Meet the Scientist Webinar featuring a researcher discussing the latest findings related to mental illness. In September, 2017, the Foundation featured Dr. Conor Liston of Weill Cornell Medical College.
Description: Biomarkers have transformed modern medicine but remain largely elusive in psychiatry, due in part to the way we diagnose mental illness. Dr. Liston will discuss on-going efforts to rethinking our approach to diagnosis and treatment by identifying new subtypes of depression based on dysfunction in mood-related brain circuits.
