Gold panning in Scotland - how to find gold in the UK

Hello and today we are back at this beautiful wee Scottish burn searching for alluvial gold. On this episode we are using a DT Prospecting drop riffle back packer sluice, which by design is light and easy to carry in the rucksack.
As always we are looking for where the gold line is and sampling the dirt from a well established gravel bar. We also check out a few bedrock crevices and pan the sediments from the cracks because this is where the gold can become trapped during flood events.
We were also joined by Lewis from Northern Pickers with his main man Jagger.
