A massive fire broke out late at night in a market complex at Jaleswar in Odisha’s Balasore district, reducing more than 25 shops to ashes.

The incident occurred at Paschimabad Market under Jaleswar police limits around 3:30 AM. According to reports, the fire first started in one shop due to unknown reasons and later spread rapidly to nearby shops.

The flames quickly intensified, engulfing multiple establishments and causing panic in the area. Locals immediately informed the fire department, following which two fire tenders rushed to the spot.

After nearly two hours of operation, firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control. Initial estimates suggest that property worth more than ₹5 crore has been destroyed in the devastating fire.
