A Full Cheap Drum Mic Kit vs just 3 Expensive Mics

Once we've purchased a mid range condenser and a good all-round dynamic mic it is common to think we need to buy a cheap drum mic kit with the little budget left. I did just that when, a long time ago, I started building my studio. However, after years of experience I now think it is better to buy one or two more high quality microphones and record drums with fewer mics than it is to buy a cheap drum microphone kit.

I will test this theory in this video comparing 3 expensive mics vs a set of budget drum mics.
